Wooden Picture Frame
Materials:
- Wood strips (e.g., 1 in x 2 in)
- 4 strips of 12 in (30.5 cm) for a 10x8 frame
- Glass or acrylic sheet (10 in x 8 in)
- Backing board (10 in x 8 in)
- Picture hanging hardware
- Wood glue
- Nails or screws
Tools:
- Saw
- Drill
- Hammer or screwdriver
- Tape measure
- Sandpaper
- Clamps
Steps:
Cut the wood strips:
- Cut 4 strips to form the frame sides, with 45-degree angles at the ends.
Assemble the frame:
- Glue and clamp the corners together.
- Reinforce with nails or screws.
Insert the glass and backing:
- Secure the glass/acrylic and backing board inside the frame.
Attach hanging hardware:
- Add hardware to the back for wall mounting.
Finish:
- Sand and paint or stain if desired.
